I’ve a USB drive with a lot of work over the past year which has inexplicably stopped mounting to my laptop. I noticed a similar problem described on the data recovery tips web site. I’ve tried it across other laptops – another Mac & a Windows machine as well and it’s still not readable. The odd thing is it’s displaying ‘USB DRIVE 30x’ when I insert it into my USB ports in the system report but it doesn’t display anything in my Disk Utility. Is retrieving the data on this drive something that you could help me with please? Is there a way of backing up the potentially corrupted data onto another device in order to access / retrieve it? How much would this service cost?
My seagate backup plus portable drive (1TB, purchased 2015) has stopped working. It had a minor bump and has started making weird noises (initially quiet tapping sounds). Now when I plug it in it makes a quiet beeping sound for about 5 seconds then goes quiet and is not recognised by the computer (macbook pro). I am currently in Sweden but return to Glasgow at the end of the month. Could you please let me know if you think it is possible to recover the data, and if so how much it would cost
A seagate portable hard drive Backup plus portable drive model SRD0SP0. With corrupted fies and folders consisting about 500GB of 1 TB hard drive. used as back up. Attempted to recover with recuva which just found corrupted fies.
My Galaxy S6 Edge broke down 2 weeks ago, very old water leak slowly corrupted the main board and all of a sudden it stopped working. I’ve asked my IT team to repair it but answer is that it’s beyond repair. I’m looking to get the data back, even if just part of it (e.g. photos, whatsapp..). Let me know it there’s any chance and indicative price.
